Important Security Notice
JTeen has been informed by our customer relationship management (CRM) provider, Beacon CRM, of a cyber security incident affecting a number of organisations that use its platform.
Beacon has advised that copies of database backups were made and that, based on the evidence so far, these copies were likely downloaded by an unauthorised third party.
As soon as we were notified of the incident, we followed Beacon’s Security Incident Response Guide and carried out an assessment of the potential impact on the personal information we hold.
Following our assessment, and after seeking advice from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), we are publishing this notice in the interests of transparency.
Protecting the personal information entrusted to us is extremely important. We are treating this incident with the utmost seriousness and will continue to work closely with Beacon CRM as its investigation progresses.
As a precaution, we encourage everyone to remain vigilant. If you receive an unexpected email, phone call or message claiming to be from JTeen, or requesting personal or financial information, please exercise caution. If you are ever unsure whether a communication is genuine, please contact us directly before responding.
